Change is coming and it may be more than you imagined
I look at what’s going on in the economy in the US and worldwide as a purge or a cleanse, if you will. Have you ever done a detox and given up sugar or gone on a juice fast for a few days and done things to totally eliminate your body of all the harm you’ve done to it with sugar, junk food, alcohol and generally crap? That’s how I’m looking at this massive shifting as world financial systems are trying to “eliminate” (sorry about that – I couldn’t help myself! *wink*) the bad mortgages and bad investment deals, and, the bad money that’s been propping up our economy for the last 7-8 years.

Money Solves a Lot of Problems
The more money you make – the more choices you have in life. I’ve been saying this for years and it seems many women have an attachment to striving and struggling and not making much (or any) money in our own businesses or careers. Many women won’t let themselves make a single dollar beyond their comfort zone. It’s like their driving down the freeway with one foot on the accelerator and the other on the brakes at the same time. Ouch! Part of it has to do with the kind of work we choose (If you sell merchandise at a retail store ostensibly you make a lot less money than if you sell jet airplanes.) and part of it has to do with a subconscious decision to “stay small.”

How can You Thrive in the Current Economic Climate?
Great thinkers and savvy business leaders have always known no matter what the headlines say – no matter what doom and gloom you might be hearing – there are always people who profit and do well financially because they think differently. When everyone else is zigging they zag. They keep up their gratitude journal and their prosperity and abundance thinking. They turn off the news and they get very, very smart about their business and their money.

“Testosterone-Free” Marketing for Women that Works
Women are starting businesses in the US and many other countries at twice the rate of men. It’s amazing progress and adds billions to our economy. But why are businesses owned by women still often not taken seriously?

How Sarah Palin may Change American Women Business Owners
Sarah Palin electrified the crowd at the RNC Wednesday night in St. Paul. Men cheered and laughed at the snipes and jokes and GOP women looked up enthralled with this new post-feminist woman with unshakeable confidence who calls herself “a hockey mom” and “a pitbull” and then sticks it to the competition.

McCain’s Shocking Pick of Governor Palin as Veep
I think McCain’s pick for VP is a silly one. IMHO it shows a Hail Mary pass desperation to add “newness” and “sex appeal” to his campaign that’s in serious need of juice after the amazing Democratic Convention this week.

Are you adjusting your business model for the current economic conditions?
As the economic marketplace shifts it often makes sense to shift the products we offer, the price point and/or how we market our products/services to fit what’s going on out in the world we do business in. When things tighten up people make purchasing decisions differently and are gradually shifting how they spend money. What’s important and that helps them express and enhance their core values will continue to be important – and what isn’t necessarily a core value will tend to fall away.

How to Have a Great Mentoring Relationship
Men and women who are passionate about living an independent, financially free life often decide they need and want a mentor to provide insight and ideas to help them on their path. Maybe there is someone within your company or industry you know, or, you just know of who could help you take your business or career to the next level. How can you get that person to share their wisdom with you to help you get on the right path? How can you rise above so that person wants to share and give you a little extra help?

I was SOOOOOOO upset (fair warning – this is about politics)
I don’t know how I’ve missed these before – I’ve certainly heard about them. Yesterday I opened a horribly negative and false viral email about the presumptive Democratic nominee – Barack Obama. It was filled with lies and fear-mongering. If you’re going to vote November 4th – at least get your facts straight. This email was not only false, it was downright libelous. Of course it was anonymous, too.
