That's what's great about America, jonolan - we can all have a different point of view. *smile* I think Obama's experience trumps hers any day of the week. The GOP pundits saying her experience is "executive" is IMHO a bunch of baloney.

I definitely like the fact that he picked someone fresh - with a little excitement - and of course I appreciate that he picked a woman. But for me at least - he chose someone whose points of view are probably 180 degrees different than my own. I consider myself a Libertarian more than anything else.

I probably should've been a Hillary Democrat - I fit the profile. Age 50, college educated, pretty feminist in my views - but not straight down the line based on the research I did for my book. However, I just got Clinton fatigue and as much as I wanted to root for Hillary, I just couldn't bear 4-8 years of Bill padding around the White House with nuthin' to do, on the prowl for interns.

I realize Obama's calls for hope and change ring hollow with a lot of Americans but just the message alone will help people to reach farther and do more with their lives. How many African American parents are now pointing to him saying, "See what you can do?" Can you imagine how many more African American kids will go to college in the next generation just because of his presence and influence - and that makes our entire nation stronger with more well-educated people. If he actually wins that influence will be even greater.

All true, but she still has more experience than Obama who is actually running for POTUS. She also the only candidate with Executive branch experience.

McCain's choice of Palin was odd - though one I had hoped for. She's young and has limited experience true, but she's also a perfect VP for the maverick, government busting McCain that I remember.
